Scholarships for Transfers

Community College Graduate Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Applicants must have been offered admission to Lee
University, graduate of a community college, a minimum grade point average of
3.00 on a 4.0 scale, and enrollment for full-time (12 credits or more) study at
Lee University are required. The award is in the amount of $3,000 and is
awarded for one academic year. They must transfer to Lee after graduation
and have not attended another college since graduation from the community
college to be eligible.
No scholarship application is necessary. Final community college transcript with
graduation date is required for scholarship eligibility.
Deadlines: Must be offered admission for fall or spring semester to qualify.
Transfer Encouragement Grant
Selection Criteria: Applicants must have been offered admission to Lee
University, must have completed 30 semester hours and be transferring from a
two-year or four-year institution with a minimum grade point average of 3.00 on
a 4.0 scale. To be eligible you must be enrolled in full-time (12 credits
or more) study at Lee University. The award is in the amount of $2,000 and
is awarded for one academic year.
No scholarship application is necessary. All final college transcripts with
cumulative GPA are required for scholarship eligibility. First-time
freshman with dual enrolled hours are not eligible for the award.
Deadlines: Must be offered admission for fall or spring semester to
qualify.
Honor Scholarship
The Honor Scholarship is awarded to any incoming transfer applicant or
returning student who as passed a minimum of 30 semester hours, whose cumulative
GPA is at least 3.70 and who is currently enrolled as a full-time student.
The scholarship provides $2010 for each semester awarded. This scholarship
can be utilized in an unlimited number of semesters as long as all criteria
mentioned above are met. Students returning to Lee after graduation for
recertification or enrichment classes are still eligible to use this scholarship
if all requirements are met. Honor scholarships are awarded by the Office of
Records.
Leadership Scholarship Program
The Roberson Memorial Leadership Scholarship Program will annually
award twelve scholarships of $2,000 each to full-time applicants who have
shown outstanding leadership ability in high school or college careers.
Special consideration will be given to students who have demonstrated
successful leadership, character, and service in school activities, church
ministry, or community service programs. Inquiries or questions
concerning the Roberson Memorial Leadership Scholarship Program can be
answered by the Admissions Center at 1-800-533-9930, extension 8500.
Applications or letters of recommendation should be submitted directly to
the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment. Deadline to apply March
15.
Endowment Scholarships
Applicants must
apply online and be enrolled as a full-time student with a minimum GPA
of 2.50. The Lee University Student Aid Committee is wholly responsible for
the selection of the endowment scholarship recipients. In this selection,
academic and leadership qualities are considered, but the major
consideration is given to financial need. Application for these
scholarships is initiated by completing all of the required financial aid
applications. Scholarships shall be discontinued any time a recipient
withdraws from Lee University or fails to meet the college requirements
regarding academic progress. Deadline to apply is March 15.
Phi Theta Kappa ScholarshipSelection Criteria:
Incoming transfer student who is member of Phi Theta Kappa
A.A. or A.S. degree
Minimum cumulative GPA 3.5
Leadership in extracurricular, athletic, church related and
community events.
Awarded: one-half tuition for two
semesters

Lee University Scholarship Application
Lee University provides generous scholarship opportunities to deserving
students. Scholarships are awarded on academic information, student
interest and/or student leadership. Full-time, traditional classroom
enrollment on Cleveland campus is required. In instances where a
candidate qualifies for more than one scholarship, (s)he will receive the
largest scholarship for which (s)he is eligible. The deadline to
submit this application and all required documentation is March 15.
This all-inclusive scholarship application should be submitted to the
Admission's Office.
